Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
Our Physiotherapy team at Parkside Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Bank Inpatient Physiotherapist's to join our team. As part of the team, you will have clinical support available from your, Senior Physiotherapists, and the on- site Physiotherapy Manager.
As a Bank Inpatient Physiotherapist you will be responsible for providing high quality care and rehabilitation for a variety of post-operative elective orthopaedic, women's health and breast patients and other clinical specialities, in line with our treatment protocols.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses and consultants in order to optimise the health and the recovery of our post-operative patients.Substantive previous Ward experience is a must for this role!
As a Bank Inpatient Physiotherapist you will:
- Deliver high quality, effective, and clinically reasoned care to meet our patient’s needs.
- Adhere to our values and beliefs where we encourage behaviour, which is connected, aspirational, responsive and ethical.
- Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes.
- Be able to work regular weekend shifts.
To succeed as a Bank Inpatient Physiotherapist you will:
- Have a BSc (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Evidence of experience in orthopaedic inpatients.
- Demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
- Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
- Be a competent and confident IT user.
- Have the ability to prioritise and deal with a varied workload in an effective and timely manner.
