With 14,000 members across 6 sites (and growing – our target is 20,000 members by 2026!) Zest Leisure Group are a privately owned company who are one of the most successful operators within the Anytime Fitness UK & Ireland network. We will soon be one of the top 30 private fitness operators in the UK.

Our journey began in 2015 when we opened our first club in Tooting, selling out all memberships within 6 months of opening. Subsequent clubs then followed in Ladbroke Grove, Balham, Swiss Cottage, Wimbledon and most recently Clapham Junction, which is the largest club in the UK network.
Moving forward we have an exciting pipeline of future sites in London and new people opportunities in the next 6-18 months, giving us the potential to significantly increase the size of our business in that period. About the General Manager’s Role:
At Zest Leisure Group, we are enjoying a sustained period of growth which see’s us continue opening amazing new clubs!
We are looking for an experienced General Manager based in London.
Our General Managers are people-focused leaders taking full accountability in operating a successful Anytime Fitness Club by providing our members with excellent premier experience on every visit.
You will inspire & coach, working closely with your team to drive club targets and member experience, alongside ensuring a smooth operation making sure day to day compliance regulations are adhered to by everyone in the club.
The successful candidate will have experience of operating a high quality, consumer-facing environment, preferably from the Health / Fitness / Leisure sector.

· Experience in business acumen and sales planning
Responsibilities Include:
· Operational accountability & business performance
· Lead, develop and inspire your team to deliver an amazing member experience and provide our members with a first-class visit
· Strive to continuously improve your own, your teams and the club’s performance
· Actively seek to develop own capability and knowledge in job role
· Consistently deliver’s on KPI’s and planned profit
· Coaches, guides and mentors team members to ensure their continuous professional development
Core Activities Include:
· Leads the team to achieve all club targets and balanced scorecard objectives
· Delivers superb member service through inspirational leadership
· Looks for opportunities to increase profit and participation and generate income for the club
· Grows member count through improved sales and retention
· Leads the team to deliver Zest Ways of Working, Brand Standards and legislation at all times
· Is accountable for the health and safety of members, team members, visitors and contractors alike
· Creates and implements club action and improvement plans against key metrics
· Utilises channels of communication such as Member Surveys, Employee Engagement Surveys, Mystery shops etc. to improve the member/team member experience
· Responds to and resolves member queries and concerns to the best possible outcome
· Ensures the club selects great recruits and inducts, manages and develops a high-performing team.
· Sets stretching but achievable targets for the team
· Engages with and gets to know our members, seeking ways to improve their experience at every opportunity
· Supports the club team in duty management shifts
· Leads the team to ensure that all facilities and equipment are in a presentable and good
· working order
· Builds good relationships with Club Support and Regional Management to utilise resources for the benefit of all
· Participates and shares knowledge and expertise with peers and other team members
Your Commitment
This is a multi-functional role therefore working patterns for you and your team include varied shifts primarily Monday to Friday with one weekend per month.
