The Role:
As a Bar and Events Assistant, you'll support the smooth delivery of private hire events, parties, and functions by operating our licensed bar. You’ll also assist the café team during large-scale weekend events, ensuring top-quality customer service in both settings.

What does the role involve?
A hands-on role that requires you to:
- Serve alcoholic and soft drinks responsibly and in line with licensing laws
- Prepare, set up, and close down the bar and café for events.
- Provide friendly, efficient service to all guests.
- Support food and drink service during busy events and parties.
- Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards.
- Work flexibly across bar and café operations, including cash handling and basic food preparation.
Skills and competencies:
- Must be aged 18+ (due to alcohol licensing laws)
- Customer-focused with strong communication and social skills
- Confident, reliable, and able to work independently
- Available for evening and weekend work
Your Experience
- Previous experience in a bar, café, or hospitality role (desirable, not essential)
- Comfortable working in fast-paced customer-facing environments
- Experience handling cash, using tills, and preparing basic food and drinks
- Able to follow health & safety and hygiene procedures confidently
- A team player who takes initiative and enjoys delivering great service
