As a Theatre Administrator at our Chichester Hospital, you’ll bring great communication/interpersonal skills, good organisation and analytical skills and be able to work in a busy environment. You have excellent IT and keyboard skills and also be prepared to undertake training as necessary for the role. That’s why we’re looking for someone who brings a blend of strong administration skills and a passion for exceptional customer care to join us. Good knowledge and understanding of medical terminology is desirable but not essential. Experience of working in an administration role would be desirable.
As a Theatre Administrator the main purpose of the job is to provide administrative support to all theatres: co-ordinating, planning and organising a range of activities and information.
About the role:
Producing the daily paperwork for each theatre with patient labels, timings sheet and TCI lists for the anaesthetist
Updating numerous spreadsheets such as consultant leave, theatre utilisation, capacity
To compile the weekly and monthly anaesthetic requirements and send to the relevant anaesthetics departments
To upload the packs for upcoming operations in all theatres and liaise regularly with the supplies department about any cancellations and last minute add ons
To maintain all the packs used by theatres, making necessary changes and adding and removing stock items as neede
To answer any enquiries from other departments which can relate to things such as bookings, coding questions, missing details on Pims and general enquiries
To upload all NJR (National Joint Registry) and Breast Implant Forms to the national databases and undertake the yearly audit
Occasional recalling of notes in order to complete NJR or Breast Implant forms

Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital is a 30 bedded hospital within walking distance of the city centre with free onsite car parking. The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department. There is a small radiology department and CT/ MRI services are provided in a mobile unit. Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital whilst our outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester gate for their follow up physio and hydrotherapy treatments.
Our main speciality is orthopaedics. We also care for patients needing treatment within the specialties of gynaecology, urology, general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology max fax, and pain. We provide outpatient services for dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and rheumatology.
