Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Swim Instructor to join our team at our swimming facility in Royston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and education, with a focus on providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels.
Duties:
- Conduct swim lessons for individuals or groups following established curriculum and Swim England guidelines
- Provide constructive feedback to swimmers to improve their technique and performance
- Ensure the safety of all participants in the pool area at all times
- Develop lesson plans tailored to the needs and abilities of each swimmer
- Monitor and track progress of swimmers, adjusting instruction as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organised pool environment
Skills:
- Certified Swim Instructor with recognised qualifications (Swim England)
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach and interact with swimmers
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with swimmers and parents
- Knowledge of water safety practices and emergency procedures
- Experience in sports coaching or education is desirable
