Job Overview
Jstep CIC is looking for a dedicated and experienced Fitness Instructor to join our team full time. You will be responsible for delivering tailored rehabilitation and physical activity programs to clients with various health conditions, including those recovering from Injuries or managing long-term conditions.
Your role will involve working both 1-1 and with groups, supporting clients to achieve their personalised goals through structured exercise programs. Please note: This job will involve working with clients that are mostly elderly, have a disability or illness.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1-1 and group sessions in the community
- Develop and implement Personalised exercise programs using SMART Goals.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress through regular assessments and feedback.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with Jstep CIC policies and procedures.
- Adhere to GDPR regulations and confidentiality policies to ensure client data protection.
- Provide emergency support and risk assessment management when necessary.
- Collaborate with other Jstep CIC staff for comprehensive client care.
- Encourage and motivate clients to reach their goals.
- Stay up to date with best practises and maintain professional knowledge related to rehabilitation and physical activity.
Requirements:
- Certified fitness instructor/ Rehabilitation specialist (Level 2 or above.
- Experience working with clients with medical conditions including Strokes, Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis and Injuries. (Preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop structured exercise plan based on SMART goals
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection practises.
- First Aid Certification (Preferred but not essential)
- Ability to travel to client locations e.g. client’s homes and community centres.
- Organised and self-motivated with a passion for helping clients improve their health and well-being.
