Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Health Club Reception Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Health Club. You will be the first point of contact for members and guests, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. The role involves managing a team, coordinating bookings, handling administrative tasks, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the team, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Oversee membership enquiries, sign-ups, and renewals, providing information on services and promotions.
- Coordinate class and facility bookings, managing schedules effectively.
- Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Ensure a well-presented reception area, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage administrative tasks, including processing payments and maintaining records.
- Work closely with the Health Club Manager and other departments to enhance member experience.
- Train, support, and motivate staff to maintain high performance.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as membership retention and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies within the reception area.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a reception, customer service, or front-of-house management role, preferably in a health club, leisure, or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in booking systems and administrative software.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Passion for health, fitness, and wellness.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
Shift pattern (25 h/pw)
Tuesday: 8.30am - 1.30pm
Thursday: 6.30am - 1.30pm
Friday: 3.30pm - 8.30pm
Saturday: 10.30am - 6.30pm
Cover available for extra hours
