Head of PMI

37.5 hours per week
You will be required to be in our Barbican head office once per week along with other national travel for this role.

We are hiring a new Head of PMI (Private Medical Insurance) to lead and develop the strategic relationships, business direction and contracting for Nuffield Health’s PMI clients through leading a high performing specialist team, thereby ensuring the delivery of the business targets, contributing to revenue, profitable growth and Nuffield Health’s strategic plans
Key responsibilities of our Head of PMI:
Deliver market leading PMI Client Relationship and Development excellence, underpinned by strategic account plans for all key PMI Partners, to drive business growth.
Ensure multi level, multi departmental proactive relationships are in place for all key PMI clients
Ensure timely, relevant professional comms are provided to PMI’s to support ‘Why Nuffield’ and keep PMI’s well informed
Deliver against the annual and longer term financial, commercial and other organisational targets, objectives and goals.
Proactively plan business development opportunities and qualify incoming ones, optimising commercial terms, pricing and proposition models; and ensuring delivery feasibility and sign off from all relevant resources and departments.
Lead development of market leading presentations and promotional materials to clearly articulate Nuffield Health’s differentiated propositions to market.
Negotiate and lead the development of optimal contracts to both maximise commercial benefit and mitigate risk.
Provide commercial guidance and oversight to the Team’s commercial, relationship management and team support activity
Proactively shape proposition and pricing development by sharing market trends, competitor information, customer and stakeholder feedback and bid outcomes and rationale
To be successful in this Head of PMI role, you will have:
Extensive proven commercial and business development track record in Healthcare PMI Contracting experience
Extensive knowledge and experience of the UK acute healthcare and PMI markets
Experience of leading a high performing senior team with high revenue accountability
Excellent influencing, negotiation and presentation skills, to Board level
Proven ability to define and implement strategic client development plans
