JOB PURPOSE
Be a part of a growing team, delivering outstanding events. Working with a broad range of client requirements, we’ll be flexible, personable and guarantee great service. This will encourage future event bookings and subsequently add more and more value to every client of Wilmslow Conference Centre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Events Operations Coordinator you will be responsible for:
- Working closely with our Paige’s job Manager to oversee the smooth operations of Wilmslow Conference Centre
- Attend weekly event meetings with the team
- To supervise and maintain day to day operations of the conferences and events department
- A point of contact for client and visitor enquiries
- Opening up and locking down of rooms/buildings used for the event
- Setting up event spaces with an eye for detail
- Taking and managing bookings and catering requirements
- Keeping all health, safety and compliance practices up to date and recorded
- Preparing event requirement/evaluation reports and communicate actions to post event meetings
- To work closely with Paige’s role including assisting with show rounds
- Accurately upload information to and maintain the database of existing and potential clients using our System
- Support the sales process to promote the venue on various social media platforms
- Working hand in hand with Thrive Café catering during events in the Conference Centre
Ideal Skills and Personality For The Role
- A pro-active nature with excellent planning and organising capabilities
- An eye for detail
- Possess great customer service skills
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to deal with any complaints and find resolutions swiftly
- Have a good understanding of IT software including most Microsoft products
- Experience working in a similar role and knowledge of working to health, safety, hygiene and licensing procedures would be advantageous
- Basic Food Hygiene and Basic Health and Safety Certificate are advantageous but not essential for this role
