As we continue to expand and enhance our offerings, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health & Fitness Manager to lead our fitness and wellbeing services.
Summary of Main Responsibilities
The Health & Fitness Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Achieve Lifestyle's fitness facilities, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This individual will drive operational strategies, enhance the quality-of-service provision, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborating with the Group Exercise Coordinator and other department managers, this post will focus on delivering services that enhance the customer experience and play a positive role in the retention of members and users.
Operational:
- Management of Fitness facilities, and services delivered.
- Oversee daily fitness operations ensuring seamless service delivery, including daily, weekly and monthly checklist and monitoring sheets, and liaising with fitness providers for efficient equipment service and repair.
- Ensure all fitness areas comply with health and safety regulations, including safe systems of work and equipment maintenance.
Team Management:
- Lead, support and motivate a team of Fitness professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to deliver high-quality services and maintain a customer-first approach.
- Implement professional development initiatives to enhance team skills
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and addressing areas for improvement.
Customer Experience & Service:
- Champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring consistently high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
- Actively gather and analyse customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement changes where necessary.
Financial Management:
- Monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency without compromising quality.
- Ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet business priorities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Level 3 Personal Training (essential)
- GP Referral (desirable)
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Health and Safety / Risk Assessment Training (desirable)
Work Experience and Skills
- Excellent communicator with management skills and experience
- Organised, self-motivated, with a high level of self-drive, and good time management
- A commercial focus on reaching financial targets
- Creative and good problem solver
- Passionate about health and fitness and the customer experience.
- Ability to use initiative well and take ownership for decision-making.
- IT skills including knowledge and experience of Microsoft 360 programmes, and leisure management systems
- Collaborate with the Group Exercise Coordinator to review and enhance group fitness programming to meet member needs and industry trends.
- Continuously improve fitness operations, including monitoring & reporting, daily checklists and customer engagement services and events.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
