Here at On1Fitness we pride our self on being a small family run fitness centre.

We are recruiting a level 3 personal trainer to compliment our team, You will need to commit to at least two gym floor shifts per week with cover shifts available please only apply if you are also available to work weekends. The right candidate must have the ability to teach fitness classes and provide exceptional customer service.

Experience is a must with a minimum of 2 years working in a commercial fitness centre.

As well as receiving a basic salary you will have access to our membership base to complete one on one training and receive commission for classes.

Main Purpose of Job:

You are responsible for providing a professional service to all Members, Prospective members and Guests who wish to use the club facilities.

To ensure that members continue to enjoy using the facilities and minimise membership cancellations.

Responsibilities

□ Provide goal-orientated exercise programmes so that members achieve maximum benefit from their use of the facilities.

□ Carry out fitness tests and provide motivation and support to inspire members.

□ Man/monitor reception as required (especially 15 minutes before all classes), answer phones and be present in the gym throughout your shift

□ Ensure that you obtain and maintain correct up-to-date information on all members assigned to you – Medical declarations, Induction records, Training advice, Fitness Assessment results etc.

□ Track the usage of members assigned to you and take ownership for their continued use of the club.

□ Deal with initial customer queries; making a note of their issue and completing any necessary forms (i.e freeze or cancellation) and only when you have done all you can do then advise management.

□ Maintain the cleanliness of the gym and changing facilities via Daily cleaning as per the cleaning schedule

□ Rectify any faults on equipment immediately or report any faulty or excessively worn equipment to the manager if you are unable to rectify.

□ Ensure all open and close checks and procedures are carried out at the start and end of day.

□ Interact in a friendly and professional manner with the members on the gym floor at all times.

□ Provide taster sessions and program reviews to all current members.

Sales & Tours
□ Touring prospective members using the correct format (enquiry form / tour / close) and tailoring each tour to the individual, so rapport is built and it results in a sale.

□ Sign contracts at every opportunity! Choosing the appropriate membership option for their needs and completing the DD, Med Dec, membership card and welcome pack, along with setting their profile up on the system and arranging their fit test and program at POS.

□ Respond to any emails/text messages/new sign ups within a timely manner

□ Constantly strive to achieve your monthly target

Other

Attend the monthly team meetings, prepared with your individual responsibilities up-date and any ideas or information that needs to be shared with the team.
Encourage ALL members to be a part of any challenges or events that we provide.
Adhere to health & safety procedures at all times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £11.50-£13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
